A Borders Books bestseller, Paula Roe is one of Silhouette's Australian Desire authors, writing category romance for the world's biggest romance publisher in the world, Harlequin Enterprises.
In her former (non-writing) life, she's worked in such diverse jobs as assistant/secretary/PA, office manager, software trainer and aerobics instructor. She is also an active volunteer with
Romance Writers of Australia (including holding the positions of Secretary, Vice-President and Contest Co-ordinator, plus six years as editor for Hearts Talk, their monthly publication).
She's been writing ever since the age of eleven after getting hooked on the glorious historical romances of Johanna Lindsey, Kathleen Woodiwiss and Shirlee Busbee. Yes, her early influences were historical but she reads and enjoys a wide scope of fiction, including paranormal, fantasy, horror and crime and, of course, romance!
British-born and Aussie bred, Paula currently lives west of Sydney with her family, two white cats and an assortment of native birds.

Favorite time waster: the TV (I am addicted to US shows - give me CSI, Lie to Me, Bones, The Mentalist, Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice and House and I'm one happy camper).
When I was young I wanted to be: a vet... or a dancer (a la Flashdance).
Best movie ever: Titanic. Chronicles of Narnia. The Great Escape. The Wedding Singer. National Treasure. All for different reasons.
Best book from my childhood: The Enchanted Wood by Enid Blyton - I kept wishing for a faraway tree of my own! Elynne Mitchell's Silver Brumby series (I loved the pure Australian-ness of it all).
Book of the Moment: The Better Part of Darkness by Kelly Gay
When no-one's watching I like to: bludge (that's "do absolutely nothing" for all you non-Aussies!)
Songs I never want to hear again: Venus by Bananarama. Loveshack or Rock Lobster by the B52s. (well, anything by the B52s, really).
My biggest adventure has been: backpacking across Europe.
If I wasn't a writer I would be: what??? Okay, an interior designer. Or maybe a travel agent.
